
Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain is pleased to announce that Mark Absalom has recently been hired as the new Director of Snow Sports beginning in the 2021-2022 winter season. Born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Absalom is a life-long ski instructor and promoter of snow sports. Mark Absalom has over 40 years’ experience in Snow Sports management, having been the director of multiple snow sports schools, most recently at Camelback Mountain in Tannersville, PA. Absalom is an Examiner for Professional Ski Instructors of America-Eastern Division (PSIA-E), the world’s largest organization dedicated to teaching people how to ski and snowboard. Absalom also works closely with Snow Operating, promoting Terrain-Based Learning (TBL) across the US and Canada. Absalom holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Services Management from East Stroudsburg University. He now brings this history of proven leadership and innovation to the team at Ski Big Bear.

RFID Card Information
Ski Big Bear introduced an access card containing an RFID chip during the 2020/21 winter season to replace paper tickets. Your season pass or lift ticket is loaded onto a card containing RFID microchip technology.
