Due to skiing and riding being such a good way for people to get outside and enjoy family recreation during the time of COVID, and also the implementation of safety procedures and capacities, Ski Big Bear is experiencing longer processing times at our sales window and rental shop. An additional challenge is finding staff who are comfortable working during the pandemic, and keeping our employees at work as they and their family members follow COVID-19 mitigation recommendations and mandates. Please know we are doing everything possible to work through these challenges to continue to offer our services and we apologize in advance for delays. Purchasing tickets and rentals online, including entering all information required, will help the process, but there still can be a delay in processing your products.

  • We recommend that you pick up your rental equipment the night before you wish to ski. (Available Thursday nights - Sunday nights during typical operating hours and any night during the Presidents Week holiday period)
  • We also recommend that you consider multi-day rentals if you plan on skiing more than one day, or you can choose to rent from your home neighborhood ski shop in advance to save time.

Rental equipment is available on a first-come, first serve basis. At this time, we do not anticipate limiting the number of tickets and rentals sold. However, capacity and pricing are subject to change during the season. Rental equipment can be purchased online and picked up in the rental shop on the specific day you request at purchase. If you are planning to ski/ride more than 4 times this season, a season rental will be your most economical choice. It is necessary to provide height, weight, shoe size and ability (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) at the time of purchase.
