What is an Indy Pass?

The Indy Pass is both a physical and cloud based pass that gives you two free lift tickets and a third discounted day at each one of our Partner Resorts.

How does an Indy Pass work?

Go to any Partner Resort’s ticket window to redeem your free lift ticket by presenting your Indy RFID Card! Resorts will scan or look you up to redeem your pass and issue a day ticket. A limited number of Partner Resorts have blackout dates or require reservations so be sure to visit the resort page to learn about any restrictions prior to visiting the resort. Only one pass can be redeemed per day per person. Passes do not need to be used sequentially.

Blackout Dates at Ski Big Bear

If you have an Indy Base Pass or Indy Add On Pass, blackout days apply for the December (Christmas) holiday period, the MLK Weekend holiday period, and the first weekend of the Presidents' Week holiday period. There are no blackout dates for Indy+ Pass or Indy+ Add On Pass customers.

How to buy a 25/26 Indy Pass

Passes are currently sold out for the 25/26 season. To stay true to the independent, less-crowded nature of our member mountains, the Indy Pass is sold on a limited basis. Sign up for the waitlist to be first in line for the 26/27 Indy Pass when it goes on sale this spring.

Are there Blackout Dates/Restrictions?

Blackout dates apply specifically to the Indy Base Pass and Indy AddOn Base Pass. Indy+ Passes are not subject to blackout dates. For blackout days, click here.

What if I have an existing Ski Big Bear Season Pass / Masthope Membership Pass and I want to add Indy Pass? (Sold out for 2025-2026)

As a Ski Big Bear Unlimited Season Passholder or Masthope Member, you have the option to supercharge your pass with the “Indy Add-On Pass” to access 2 days each at every partner resort for a fraction of the price. (Promotion does not apply to Off Peak Season Pass customers)

This promotion is only available for a limited time each season. Purchase your Indy AddOn Pass and submit your season pass/membership proof when you receive it to activate your Indy Pass. Your pass must be verified before it can be redeemed, but proof is not required in the checkout process.

With three full days of lessons, lift tickets, and rentals, this all-inclusive pass gives you everything you need to build confidence, have fun, and fall in love with skiing. It’s designed for true beginners, aged 6 and up, and it’s the easiest, most affordable, and most effective way to embark on your skiing journey. 

Your pass includes three days of beginner lift tickets, equipment rentals, and lessons — everything you need to start skiing with confidence.  The 25/26 Learn To Turn Pass is valid for the timeframe of November 2025 - May 2026 and is subject to availability when participating resorts are open. The Learn to Turn Pass comes with the following items:

3 days can be used at the same participating resort, or mix of your chosen participating resorts. This pass is only valid at Indy resorts who are specifically participating in this program, which are noted here.

Each day includes:

• Lift Ticket / Lift Access - provides access to resort's beginner terrain. Ski areas offer limited access to their mountain with this ticket to beginner-focused terrain/lifts/surface lifts. Each participating mountain may provide varying levels of mountain access.
• Lesson - Age appropriate beginner lesson lasting at least one hour, which may be a group or private lesson
• Rental Equipment - Skis/snowboard, boots, poles and helmet
